YES… would LOVE HH to come back!! I LOVED that show as much as I like Kitchen Nightmares. I was EXTREMELY saddened when they both discontinued. And was THRILLED to see Kitchen Nightmares make a comeback. It sounds like his producers and team needed to make better choices in the places they were choosing. Instead of those that were literally ready to tank, choose the one that weren’t there yet, but definitely on their way. Seeing how he would transform ( and educate viewers to problems in hotels), the whole building, especially terribly outdated/run down rooms, but fix the menu and kitchens, as well as work with staff and owners, just brought it all together. It helps viewers to understand as well, how much actually needs to go into a business that caters to the public in a very personal way ( heck… you sleep in THEIR beds! AND often pay a pretty penny to do so!), but also brought up the very real realizations of WHY the owners were even doing it in the first place. Helping the public AGAIN, understand that a lot of places are being run by people with no experience, and a lot of personal issues. As well as those who genuinely try, because they have the passion and the heart…, just not the experience. I really enjoyed HH. I’ve rewatched it over the years several times, and always wish they would bring it back. THAT is why I was so happy to see KITCHEN NIGHTMARES come back. Because I enjoyed it so much as well. I’m not really a “reality tv” watcher. I won’t and don’t watch any of the other stuff. But HOTEL HELL, and KITCHEN NIGHTMARES are both something that affects every person who has ever gone out to eat, or gone for a nice weekend to what you hope is a lovely weekend getaway. So YES! They both appeal to me. I’d much rather watch them than competitions, dating, teen pregnancies, celebrity housewives, or whatever other ridiculous “programming” they put out there. I don’t feel I’ve wasted my time on KITCHEN NIGHTMARES, or HOTEL HELL, unlike all the other trashy reality shows there are ( and don’t bother with). Instead I would always feel like I actually LEARNED something from watching them. As a ‘consumer’ I felt the shows offered very relevant reality for anyone who eats out, or stays in Hotels/Inns. Besides, even though there are a lot of people out there who apparently don’t like Gordon Ramsey, I find him amazing. The fact that this man has come from the background he did, and built himself an empire of the very best possible restaurants of every kind, all around the world…., and yet continues to do these tv shows that showcase his vast knowledge and abilities…, and yet STILL continues to maintain the quality and standing of his restaurants worldwide….. is astonishing!! He is not only a very hard worker with an amazing work ethic, but has developed a brilliant business sense, and is amazing at sharing himself and his talents with others. The man could have just run his restaurants, acted like a rich twit, and ignored everyone else. But I suspect Gordon is a very decent, and kind man. And although, Yes! He makes a fortune doing everything he does…. HE FOR THE MOST PART REALLY LOVES IT!

I am more of a chef than Joe, and I've just worked 2 summers in a summer camp kitchen (Albeit one that had higher standards on food because it was a foreign language camp and we had to cook authentic food to the countries that speak the language). But at the end of the day, this guy clearly has no depth on culinary analysis. He doesn't have any sufficient knowledge on gastronomy, and clearly takes on the most surface level critiques. Moreover, I think this is part of a problem that some people feel the need to be contrarian about everything, and I think Joe is one of those people. Just always finding the need to nitpick the smallest of issues and turn them into seemingly deal breakers for him.

May I ask if you are a chef/cook? If so, I'd love to see you on masterchef
